Singapore-based blockchain startup MemeCore is negotiating the acquisition of a Kosdaq-listed company to establish a foothold in South Korea's thriving crypto market. The Layer 1 project plans to pursue ISMS certification and VASP licensing post-acquisition, capitalizing on the country's surging digital asset demand.
"Acquiring a Kosdaq-listed firm will accelerate our expansion into one of the world's most active crypto trading markets," said CEO Jun. The MOVE comes as South Korea's newly elected administration advances pro-crypto policies, creating fertile ground for blockchain ventures.
